Spluttering over 5000 revs as if not receiving enough fuel. Fault codes listed

Today I changed the spark plugs to the NGK ones that everyone recommends. I had Bosch OEM. They haven't made a difference!

I cleaned the fuel regulator valve which sits on top of the HPFP, again, no difference.

There have been a few things I have noticed today more than before....the car is leting out light black smoke under WOT. When the car idles there is a strong smell of fuel! Also, the car has an intermittent misfire on idle. Whilst misfiring, I connected the car up to vcds and i got a p2279 code come up. (Usually MAF o O2 sensors) I do believe the O2 sensors are faulty because I've had 2 faults come up for the 2 sensors. Usually always the sensor under the car always comes up.

Anyone got any feedback on this or info on that graph I put up yesterday?

pudding:
The knock sensor and misfire codes are because of lean fuelling.

You have 2 issues. Bad lambda sensor and insufficient fuel flow. B1 S1 is the Pre cat O2 sensor in the downpipe next to the turbo. It is the primary sensor, so is the important one.

The graph doesn't make any sense because the boost and rail pressure specifieds are flat lined.  Fuel pressure actual seems to follow rpm though, but fuel pressure and fuel flow are different things though.  For a remapped engine you need more flow, therefore you need HPFP internals at minimum. If that still doesn't solve the fuelling short fall, then fit a new LPFP.  They get tired with age and were revised by VW twice in the MK5's lifespan.

Put a new genuine O2 sensor and VIS Stage 1 internals in and you should be sorted.

UPDATE for future references: Car is now sorted! I had the lambda (O2) sensor changed and I changed the hpfp piston to a vis one and now the car is back to its good old self. I also changed the cam follower for peace of mind.

I was getting low fuel pressure faults that where setting off other faults. I did however change the spark plugs and the coilpacks and they made no difference, but they're changed and new now so no complaints.

Below are the pics of the old parts I changed.

Hi, I have a stage 2+ k04 swap conversion running 345bhp.  They found the inlet manifold runner and inlet valves to be heavily soiled with carbon build (with proof) also expect injectors to be soiled to.  Advised walnut blasting and injectors to be cleaners.  Got a quote £850 all in.
