Spluttering over 5000 revs as if not receiving enough fuel. Fault codes listed
Reeceyy:
Today I've changed the fuel filter, and I took the HPFP off to inspect the cam follower (pic bellow) and the lobe of the camshaft and they are fine!!
I'm running out of ideas now on what this could be.
I've seen a video on YouTube of a Mk6 GTI that somewhat suffered from more o less the same problem and he changed the coils and that fixed the issue. I have also had the engine light flashing when giving it some and and it splutters but now it's permanent on. I really don't know what else this could be. The spark plugs are only 2 months old !
Any ideas??
lazy:
I'm not an expert on these engines but I would drive it with vcds plugged in and see if it's giving the correct fuel pressure when required. At least you know then whether to be looking at the fuel system or not.
K03MK5:
Injectors or carbon build up.
ZoliWorks:
Carbon buildup, dirty injectors, dirty hpfp, dirty fprv, dirty rail pressure regulator, dirty rail/hpfp sensors, failing lpfp. Could be a lot of things These are the thing's I'd check.
I know for a fact that when I had my pump rebuilt, the guy over at Vis told me it was one of the dirtiest pumps he worked with. I'm pretty sure my injectors are partly clogged as well. The FPRV was black on the inside when I changed it for the uprated one.

Ive make a log in vcds. If anyone could give me a bit of feedback from the graph on what the problem could be, id much apprechiate it. Any questions or doubts, let me know to clarify.
