Yeah good shout mate, INA good quality think I’ll do the same, you ordered new oil rings? Rang VW earlier and they didn’t have a clue what I was on about

Yes, elring ones also from AutoDoc.  Used them already when I fixed a broken ring due to the adjuster groove wear.........fit perfectly

Recently done this job on mine as no history of it ever being done.
Adjuster bolt held up ok but broke the lugs off the sealey cam locking tool instead. I recommend an assistant counterholding the camshaft as you undo the bolt, eases the stress on the locking tool and helps keep everything lined up.
I bought all genuine parts and can confirm the genuine tensioner is INA
I replaced the oil control rings, even though I was really careful on removal of the old ones I only managed to save 1 of the 3. They were not broken beforehand but had become really brittle probably due to baking in hot oil over time.
