Hey guys im new here, since i got the car i never cared much if the lights work, but recently i tried to fix all of them, and i realized that the sunvisor lights and rear dome lights don't work. (bought new sunvisor whole pack not just the lights still doesnt work.

I have no idea if its the fuse, i dont know its location or any idea how can i test it ?

Thanks in advance.

It could be roof headliner has been changed over due to many VW group cars having sagging. The wiring that’s taped on top of the headliner was changed over the years due to the relocation of the interior monitoring alarm sensor (image below) if I remember correctly later cars don’t have the sensor in the middle of the headliner (highlighted in red) it was moved to the centre dome light panel… so say you have an 2005 plate car and someone fitted an 2008 year headliner or vice versa you will have issues with the sun visor lights and centre rear lights as the early cars have extra wire to the middle monitoring sensor. If it is your wiring… you will need to swap it over to the correct wiring to suit the year of your car once you’ve removed the headliner… it’s only taped on from factory.
