diverter valve

does anyone have a price for the latest revision of the dv (revision D i believe) and also a part number please?
also is it relatively simple to swap with the right tools?

Part number - S06H145710D,
Price - £46.01 including VAT and 8.5% trade discount,
Fitting- All you need are some axel stands, decent light source and a 5mm allen key. With regards to fitting it's a simple job just a royal pain in the arse to get to the bolts and the DV.

Anyone know when the revision D was fitted as standard on the ED30? Mine is an April 07 car.

IIRC is the D was introduced intially on the later TSI engine so 09 ish, but the D valve is now std replacement for all :happy2:

Sweet. I'll open the box when I pick it up, easy to distinguish from the G type with the orange diaphragm.

Is the revision D as good a replacement as a Forge DV. I'm looking at changing mine soon and one is obviously cheaper than the other?!

Do a search mate, I found info revelant to that whilst searching for the DV part number.

Looks like no difference in performance, 1/3 of the price and no maintenance... No brainer really.

Had a quick look under the car today, do I have to remove the plastic tray that covers the bottom of the engine?

I haven't done the diverter valve yet (have one on the garage shelf ready to do next weekend) but i have changed the turbo back exhaust pipe and the answer was no for this so don't see how the diverter is any different. i did find the downpipe much easier to remove from the turbo if the engine cover was off, could get at the turbo from top and bottom, this made the downpipe removal a breeze, now I have an ITG fitted, is it easier to access the diverter valve from above or is it all from below?

I did remove the heat shield from the rack which helped with access to the turbo from below.
