Oily transmission

Hi guys, just checked a car a little bit and found some oil on the top of the tranny. I was in here a couple of months ago changing the shift lever for a ed30 one and it was dry. I’m sure there are two seals between the trans and the shift linkage. However it looks kind of crystallised which is confusing me a bit. Here are some pics
