richies red eddy

hey all..

after nearly a year of ownership, here is some detail on my 3rd mk5 gti
(should have joined up ages ago!!)

my first was an 05 red, 5 door, cloth manual:

this was added to the red fleet

I still have the mk1, but the mk2 is now unfortunately gone....

then this happened to the 1st mk5 when someone pulled out straight into the side of me

so it was replaced with this one instead....

shadow blue, leather, stupid loads of history

but, for me, a gti has to be red, and with cloth - so i was on the lookout for a mk6, or maybe an edition 30.
mk6 was hard to get in the spec i wanted, and it took a while to find a stock edition, but i found this last year  :happy2: edition 30 no 952.

Not a lot has happened to it, a bit of this:

some early morning school runs (it is a daily ride)

cheddar gorge on a family day out

lulworth castle car show

i have changed the window, mirror and headlight switches for the mk6 chrome topped ones

and also fitted the kenwood dvd nav touch headunit from the blue one

apart from that - all standard still just maintenance and  :driver: for now.

oh, and for anyone that likes mk1's
