Yes everytime i turn ignition on.
Lets call the cherping a rite loud beeping sound then, not coming from the engine but through the speakers in the car.

The last owner had the parrot ck3000 fitted but took out the lcd disply that you answer calls with and left all the wires in could it be anything to do with that?

The "bing bing bing bing bing"?

That's the seatbelt reminder/warning noise.

Agreed. Try putting your seatbelt on before you turn on the ignition!

The seatbelt warning should only go off once you are above a certain speed.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Mine gives it about half a dozen beeps, then stops. If I drive off without my belt on the beeping comes back.  :driver:

I just assumed all golfs did this? :surprised:

No, it's the seatbelt "reminder" that bings when you start the car.
The seatbelt warning which is the same noise activates over 10kph.

Either one, or both, can be turned off via VCDS. I keep it on as it tends to annoy passengers and makes them put their belt on.

Could be your timing belt

I hope that was a joke...

Cause I found it pretty funny.

I hope it was too, :rolleye:

Anyway its not the seat belt sound its much more af a higher pitch sound. Will get a video of it at the weekend to give you all a much better idea.

The problem with the designated driver program, it's not a desirable job. But if you ever get sucked into doing it, have fun with it. At the end of the night, drop them off at the wrong house.

I have added a video of the noise.
Hopefully this will help.

Watched your video mate - That's nothing like the seatbelt alarms, or any noise that a golf should make - too high pitched and irritating to be OEM.

I would definately disconnect the parrot from the back of your stereo.

So we guessing its the parrot bluetooth then.
How do i get stereo out to disconnect the wires?

Its is annoying as hell, that noise happens everytime i switch ignition on.

you have to gently pry away the surrounding trim and then you'll be left with a few screws around the stereo, once undone it will slide out and reveal the connections  :happy2:

...this is the point where i recommend some trim removal tools rather than a screw driver too
