New member MK5 GTI (faded) Tornado Red

Picked up an 07 BWA GTI last month as a second/weekend car to go alongside my sensible B8 Passat TDI daily.

290,000km
No service history for the last few years so I've just treated it as all service items due and have been working through those.

- Timing belt kit, water pump, thermostat (stuck open) and alternator belt done by main dealer.
- Cam follower
- 12V battery
- Miscellaneous missing/worn out parts - 2x dummy switches, bonnet and firewall insulation, bonnet and boot struts, LHF lumbar support knob.

Nice.  Also look into the cam chain, as it is often forgotten about
