Hi all,

I've an Edition30 that has had aftermarket wings in the recent past and it has been fine up to now, but have just started getting an annoying screechy contact noise when I initially open the front doors, which I thought was dry hinges but have just realised that it appears to be the very bottom front corner of the front doors, squeaking against the rear bottom corner of the wings.  I assume something has shifted, it's happening both sides - do you think I just need to loosen the wing bolts and try and reposition it slightly further forwards?  Can anyone tell me where all of the wing bolts are and is access ok?

Muchas gracias!

upper hinge or door skin would be the 1st to check
door skin screws need loosened not removed to lift the skin
upper hinge can be adjusted short term Replacement is better :happy2:
Guide worth watching for the hinge fix as only the door part needs replacing and not the A frame part  (top tip )

Thanks for your reply mate.

My car is a 5 door, do they suffer with heavy sagging doors on this model?

I'd also be surprised if it's the door skin, these havent been removed or loosened, but I shall give it a once over - Do I just loosen all of them  and then slide the skin up then re-tighten?

Which guide are you referring to for the hinge fix?

I resolved this in the end by undoing the arch liners, loosening the 2 x bolts that hold the bottom of the wing to the frame near the door and pulling it away from the door and inserting an object to hold it in place while I re-tightened the 2 x bolts.  Now the gap between the door and the arch is equal all the way down and I don't get any rubbing when opening the door!  Must've just been the wings moving over time as they are replacements, probably weren't bolted up tight enough!   :drinking:
