Mk5 1.4 TSI 140hp Twin Blue Smoke
« on: April 09, 2025, 05:54:59 pm »
Hey Guys, about a week ago the car started having blueish smoke coming from the exhaust, also from the engine bay. It starts smoking after it reaches 90degrees engine temp.

I did VCDS scan, however no error codes show up.

Sometimes the car has misfires on cold starts. It usually happens every 2-3weeks, lasts about 5-8secs.

Probably the metal seal between the downpipe and turbo, these engines are notorious for that even with all new hardware. Did you do any scans? I'm assuming you have changes the spark plugs?

The engine had chain, injector, spark plug etc changed not so long ago. This smoke only appears when the car is put in reverse, or climbing a hill in the first gear. After driving for 2-3 minutes the smoke disappears. Car runs and consumes fuel fine, it doesn't really consume oil either.
