Another GTI gets S3 Rear Brakes....

<< < (7/9) > >>

QD MBE:
S3/R32 guards have different bolt hole mounting centres, i could not get 2 screws in, never mind 3.

Leave the brake lines attached, no need to disconnect them, and therefore no need to re bleed.

Ps you will have to remove the disc and caliper, not sure about the carrier............

....That's a bummer! I suppose this can be done without undoing the brake lines and having to bleed the brakes?

I assume a S3 or R32 sh!t guard can't be fitted to the GTI.

your assumption is spot on  :happy2:  :innocent:

I thought that I read somewhere (maybe on here) that the splash guards from a MKII Leon Cupra fits......maybe I dreamt it..... :signLOL:

I'll have to sort out the splash guards later this month after my Noodleburgering trip with Hurdy (who IIRC doesn't have splash guards either).

Meanwhile, can anyone advise me, please?:

^ The part painted black is oem silver on my S3/R32 rears and I'm wondering if it will go rusty. I should have painted mine during the many months I had before fitting.. Duh! Is it possible to brush paint without taking off the whole brake kit again? What sort of paint?
