1 question though, after all of those lovely RS's why did you change to VW?

Long story, wifes old MK3 fiesta (she'd bought it brand new as well) developed a bad internal rust problem within it's corrosion warranty, Ford didn't want to know so that was part ex'd against a 1.6 M reg Polo to get rid, Mrs Choppers has since always had VW's. 3 fiesta's and now on her 3rd Polo.

Then when the MKIV R32 came out I still had the Cossie, really wanted the R, but the trade in on the Vectra we also had at the same time was crap, so I then decided to sell the Cossie for the R32. That started my Journey with VW's... :driver: I still love RS's may get another one some day but hey more than happy with the Golf's.  :happy2:
Cheers,

Wayne

They did but it was still a nice drive, RS2000 MK6 4X4.  :happy2: Plus I only lost £750 on this car after 18 months of ownership... :jumpmove: If I'd hung on to for another 12 months I'd have lost a lot of money as there value dropped like a piano falling off the empire state building... :signLOL:
Cheers,

Wayne

Ok if we're reminiscing.....

Brother had one of these - Nemesis of the RS2000 (He had one of those as well - rally prepped with a flat front)

Moschops you must have had a race with one of these whilst listening to the Sharp "Synthesiser" radio cassette

Good trip down memory lane there.

What made you leave the blue oval?

Excellent taste sir. The Escort RS Cosworth is still a dream car of mine although everyone I know who said the same then bought one said it was a let down. Nonetheless, I still think they rock even now the newest ones are 14 years old.

Did you ever map the Cosworth at all? yours was a small turbo I am guessing from the colour, plate and mirrors?

I had an earlier large turbo, very laggy as standard, mapped it straight away, then got the modding bug (yet again!) - ended up with a lovely 350hp example.

became the deposit on my house in the end !!  :sad1:

Good times though.

Lovely collection mate.  :congrats:
