Air being vented

While cleaning the car yesterday i noticed that every so often there would be a release of air from somewhere. Can anyone tell me what it is and why it does it.

I get the same thing sometimes. I eventually tracked it down when the air had a distinct odor.... it was coming from my arse

What area was it coming from?  Had the car recently been moved / engine running?

coming from the engine compartment and yes the car had been moved out of the garage to the end of the drive, and driven about 5 miles half an hour pror to that

seemed to be a controlled release, lasting about 2 seconds every 10 mins
