I know its for Golfs but the chassis is the same if anyone wanted a setup like this! I have a golf aswell thats why im registered, just thought id post some pics. All this setup was supplied by DaveB who as a lot of people  know is really good with brakes and had done another amazing job here!

i'm not sure but aren't your front AP disc turning the wrong way??? seeme the cooling ducts go the wrong way

Very nice setup though, looks ace

Hmm  now you have got me thinking, is anyone else in agreement with the last comment or does it not make much difference? Cheers.

Janner_Sy:
i agree with the above. I thought the vanes should scoop the air up as they rotate forwards.  it would make quite a difference oin cooling on them.

they also look absolutely ace.  what size are the discs?? and what pads are you running on them?

geordie56:
I have just found this and this would state that with my discs they are the correct orientation am i right? The discs are a straight vane and therefore the vane is correct running towards the back of the car from the inside of the disc to the outside.

It is a popular misconception that the slots or drillings in a disc determine the direction of rotation. In truth, for an internally vented disc, the geometry of the vanes dictates the direction of rotation. There are three vane types in use:

Straight
Pillar vane (comprised of many small posts)
Curved vane

The first two vane types are non-directional, and can be used on either side of the vehicle. The curved vane disc, however, is directional. A curved vane disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Please see figure. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat.

The Discs are 350mm and im using mintex pads but also have a set of racing pads.
