Newbie from Scotland
« on: April 12, 2010, 06:00:44 pm »
Hi Folks

Had a few posts on here but nor really said hi.

I'm from Edinburgh and got my hands on a 2004 Reflex Silver GTTDI 140 in January.

Its got 17" Monza's n GTI front end. I'm not planning on doing anything (much) to it other than keeping it clean and enjoying it. Although i have got the golfball gearknob on order!

I bought the car at auction with full VW Service history, no major issues yet so see how it goes! I've added a couple of pics all i have just now until i get some decent ones The R32 wheels have now been replaced with the monza's. Wheels can be seen in for sale section if anyone wants them!

Anyhow just thought i'd get the intro in.

Cheers

Murray

I know i'll get pelters for keeping it on from alot of folk but i prefer it on. I don't agree in having a car to suit other people!

Thanks for the comment though, its a pretty clean example for a 54 plate.

Yes i did try and get my hands on one when i first  got it and would def go for that but i couldn't find one in the GTI style other than a rear sticky one. I don't believe they do one for the front???

yeah that's the rear sticky one. Would really like this style for the front grill. I'm sure it coul be modified in some way but I would much prefer the hassle free option of finding a straight replacement.

Welcome fella!  :drinking:

You could just take the lettering off with a bit of heat and replace with GTD badges. I think thats what JPC did with his.  :happy2:
