Less power with the update?  :scared:

Lol I know, first thing Jim said to me was 'I told you you should've left it...' But the point of the software update is not for higher peak figures, just to make the power more useable. :happy2:

Looking at the graph though, i would say the red line is perferable. Higher peak power and smoother torque line. Not quiet sure why there is that big torque spike...

Very odd...

Surely that spike won;t help the clutch?

Wonder if I can get the old stage 2+ file uploaded... :signLOL:

Yes the red lines probably do look better on that graph, I'm hoping after the car has had time to adapt to the new map that the curves may smooth out a little. You think that torque spike is bad?... I won't shock you with my previous one lol, had a big torque spike even on the old stage 2 map when the Evoms was just fitted- but obviously as it settled in, it got better (as shown by red curves).

My car has reached 50k miles, still very much looking forward to putting more miles on it yet. :pomppomp:

I wasn't really sure what mod to do next but I see Dom had one of these shiny things floating around so thought why not.

Happy 50k Birthday to your car Mandy!

Nice intercooler there too, a treat for turning 50.  I went for the Forge twintercooler as this was much easier to fit & lighter  :happy2:
If it's not broke, Mod it.....

Silver is the way !

Lol, thanks Neil. It was 3hrs labour to fit the THS so not too bad, it replaced the stock one so shouldn't be too much extra weight I wouldn't have thought. :happy2:

Hi Paul, no problems with the Mtecs so far, still think they're great bulbs. I'm sure you'll be pleased with yours.

I had my Polar FIS+ Advanced fitted today, with help from my bf.

It was a bit of a pain trying to get the wiper arms off, they seemed pretty stuck on and we didn't have the proper wiper arm tool...

Removing the trim...

Fitting the Polar FIS to the gateway...

It didn't display in the car at first, so tried disconnecting the battery and locking/unlocking car (thanks to Eddie and VrStu) and it worked!

Just need to learn what all these numbers mean now.

I didn't realise you had an evoms too :-)

I fail to see how the twintercooler would save weight, the THS is a much better solution.

....He borrowed it from VrStu! I thought exactly the same when I saw the pic.

That Polar display looks schweeeet! I wish I had a Highline and not a Midline.

Should be an easy mod for your car Robin :happy2:

....What? To convert my GTI from having a Midline to a Highline? I thought it was expensive/difficult to convert.

Is there a thread so we don't hijack Mandy's thread?
