Praise - JKM Performance
« on: April 23, 2010, 12:04:51 am »
Greetings Mk5 fans  :congrats:

Im not from round these parts but find myself on here for a very simple reason.

Yes modifing our pride and joy!

Without further waffle I shall break the peace and buckle the trend and discuss briefly the car in which I spend many a late night and monthly wage on.
Im afraid however it is not of sorts you would commonly associate to this forum.  :ashamed:

Yet this one very good reason I mention,  hopefully will allow this to pass the VW gurus panick / ban button!

A FORD I hear you cry -  :fighting:

Well its true BUT something a little different from the norm and the company I choose to undertake the work is known to most as JKM

The car was delivered to JKM as a basic project for a turbo upgrade which over time turned into something a little more in depth.
As you know JKM are VAG experts and ordinarlilly would steer clear of these tin/rust cans. Thankfully this time they were kind enough( felt sorry for me) and decided to go hell for leather and build the best!  :star:

I am posting on here to highlight to all the artistic talents and enginnering master piece in which the JKM Team have created for me/with me. Bearing in mind EVERYTHING is custom made with all pipework and hardware.

Im sure you are well aware of this skill and professionalism and if not then please have a look at the work they can achieve when asked.

I shall let the pictures do the talking for once... and leave you with a small taster of the JKM Fiesta build.

I owe many thanks to JIM,KEITH, KATE and the JKM team for all there help, so so helpful and always there to raise things to the next level.  :congrats:

Pictures from the build past few weeks....

4 hrs after completion the car was as SantaPod putting down a 12.9@120mph on a safe base map of 404hp

Bring on final mapping and  this season!  :driver:

THANKYOU JKM  :congrats: :congrats:

I think Jim does the welding but stand to be corrected.

I have seen Lukes car a couple of times, mostly on the backs of trailers. I can confirm it weighs fook all. Plastic boot lid, no interior, etc.

Nice to see it finally running, I know you/Jim and the rest have had a very busy week.

You never know. Hang around here long enough and you might buy a proper car Golf.

I've seen and admired your car at JKM, Luke  :notworthy:

Jim struck me as being very proud of it.

I was speaking with Jim today and your car was mentioned.

He is like a proud father and seems well chuffed.

Hopefully the times will drop when you sort the rear brakes out.

Thankyou kindly for the welcome/ comments.

Jim (JKM) sure has put his heart and soul into the build. :pomppomp:

RedRobin - Hedges
Have seen you guys at various rolling road days will have to catch up at the next one, im fairly quiet when i want to be  :ashamed:

I would like to go for a Golf at somepoint but as with any project they never seem to end so im not sure when this would be.
My everyday car German so im half way there  :drinking:

I popped in to see Jim after work today to discuss the final bits on the car we should hopefully be ready for June to re-visit
SantaPod when its a big Ford event.
Hopefully replacing the faulty brake master cylinder I was supplied will stop the rear end braking ( or is the car just scared of the power)

With the weight of the vehicle last time it was weighed, we are currently at a 502hp per ton.
This will raise once the final mapping is complete. Eeeek!

Itching to drive the car again, must book in for MOT soon, once you VW boys stop keeping him busy... :signLOL:

Yes, do introduce yourself at a meet - We are very friendly (even Hedge!).

It doesn't matter what badge is on your car, we are all enthusiasts and suffer from obsessive modding disorders.
