Weird Diverter Valve Position - Edition 30

Hey guys,

So a month or so ago I got myself an 07 GTI Edition 30. Its been a ton of fun and I decided to switch out the cam follower and DV. Cam follower was a breeze and thanks a lot for all the info on this!!

The DV was a little different. So on the Edition 30 the DV is typically in front of the engine behind the radiator (image 1). However, mine is as seen on the rest of the pics. Is this a relocation or did some of the Ed30s come with the DV in this position? 
The engine is a BYD series engine and everything else is on par with an Edition 30. Just wondering why this is where it is!

The car has a stock intake/K&N Mat, Cat back exhaust and everything else is pretty stock.

That is the original position on a eddy. You can move to the front were the mk6 Golf R (same engine) has it.. Forge sells a hose for that!

No its not. The Ed30 DV is located at the front as per the golf R and another other K04 TFSI

I am guessing you are not in the UK?

All LHD Ed. 30 have the DV located where yours has it. Only RHD Ed. 30 have the DV located at the front of the engine.

I bought the parts needed from VW that are used in the Golf mk6 R and relocated my DV to the front as you can see in my project: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,95592.240.html.
