He is talking about tread patterns and tread compounds I believe. The rolling difference between the wheels due to the extra grip on one axle will make the car think it's skidding and take action by applying individual brakes and shifting power when really no action needs to be taken (I think that is what you were on about RR?). I can see this being very dangerous.

It never really turns off anyway so pressing the button only enables a bit of slip for a fast start but if the car thinks its getting too dangerous it acts accordingly.2. It's a vital safety component and you never know when you'll need it.
Have to say they do feel better than the dunlops, but that's just my opinion.
