bluefin guys will be along soon, but I seem to remember that an incorrect map (manual vs dsg) may cause this.
First thing Id check is you have the right map for your gearbox type  :happy2:

Is it at 5k under high load? or at any throttle position?

I have seen this a lot laterly on the TFSi engines. I usually try and replicate the fault on the dyno, often its a missfire on coilpack number 4. Only ever see it on mapped cars as well.

I usually replace all 4 plugs, if that doesnt solve it I will change coilpack 2 for number 4 and retest, if the missfire moves to cyl2 then I know its the coil.

If you need a set of coils I have 12 brand new in boxes, original VW items as well. will sell at -20% off retail.

Are you manual or DSG? Ed30 or GTI?
Have you tried it with the map removed?

Superchips have a bit of history with sending manual maps to DSG cars. Nothing fatal but quite annoying. The symptoms are similar to what you describe however on my Ed30 with stage 2 it went from about 3k until 5k at which point it pulled cleanly.
On stage 1 with the wrong map it went from 3-4.5k but was much less pronounced as the stage 2 map.

Or it might be a plug/coilpack problem but try the cheap options first

Hmmm. Sounds promising. Try it with the original plugs and see.

2nd that advice.

My missfire was at around 3000rpm in 6th gear travelling at a constant speed of around 70mph.

I wouldnt try more plugs, if it was doing it with the originals, and with new ones then its likley to be a coilpack. Maybe take others advice on getting the map checked as well.

What other mods are on the car? did it do this with just stage 2 or on stage 1 as well? what have you changed to go to stage 2 other than the map?
