cheers steve, ill get it up on the ramps and take a look i think.  it feels like the knock is coming from just underneath my feet in the drivers foot well, so i think  potentially it could also be a loose clamp?

....I had a knocking on the passenger side. It turned out to be a broken front wishbone bush - Extremely difficult to spot but worth checking if problem not otherwise solved.

Does anyone know how to tell which setting the arb is on?

On mine there are two holes, so if the inside hole the stiff setting and the outside hole soft?

As the lever will be longer therefore easier I think the outside is softest. I do stand to be corrected on that though.

thats correct steve.

After 3 weekends in a row at the ring with a different ARB set up each time:  front and rear on stiff, front stiff, :signLOL: rear soft, and front soft, rear stiff, i found the front soft, rear stiff to be the the best setup.
