Nuts!
« on: April 23, 2010, 05:14:35 pm »
Just dropped my Monzas of for a full refurb but need to get some new bolts for them as I've lost the ones that came with them. Can anyone tell me what exact ones I need and where best to get them or is it a trip to the dealers?

Boothy,

If your wheels are OEM, then the bolts you require are Radius seated m14 x 1.5 27mm long.

The part number is

Wheel bolts          WHT 001 812

OEM Locking wheel nuts           WHT 002 480

Caps for the lockers are 3CO 601 173 A 9B9

Caps for standard bolts are 1K0 601 173 9B9

The part numbers are for the std generic VW wheel bolt, i think they use the same on most cars, definitely on the Golf.

Price?  not sure, as my etka pricing is not accurate.

I've got loads of spare bolts you can have but the petrol from Leeds will probably cost you more than the bolts from VW

Gaz, cheers for the offer mate  :happy2:

Garth, cheers for the offer too! Not to be ungrateful but are they in good condition? Only reason I ask is the wheels will be mint so want a nice set and wouldn't want to take them off you if I wasn't gonna use em. If there still decent ill certainly take them off your hands and don't mind slipping you a bob or too for your generosity  :drinking:

Your in headingley aren't you so I could come meet you Sunday or Monday if its convenient?

Cheers, boothy.

Yep, in Headingley.

As far as I remember they're fine. I was never bothered about the condition of the nuts themselves as they had those black plastic covers over them. I was going to spray the covers grey to match the car but replaced the wheels instead.

I'll take a photo of them all later and post it here so you can see the condition before you make a trip out  :happy2:

If you want them, I will be here on Sunday, but probably not on Monday

Just dropped my Monzas of for a full refurb

I'm looking to get my wheels refurbed as well. Once you get yours back, would you mind posting any feedback, including where you got them done and how much you paid and how happy you are with the results?

Cheers,

--John

Not seen them with covers before? They'll be fine anyway bud. I'll just spray the covers to smarten them up a little if need be. Let me know where you'd like me to come meet you and a convenient time and ill pop over. Thanks a lot Garth.

Chris.
