Okay I looked it up and phloem is on the innermost part of bark so VC is right - destroy the bark and it will die.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

AS long as said dead or dying tree doesnt drop a couple of branches on your car before you get it taken down......  :scared:

This post has gone from sap removal to tree murder  :signLOL:

I just don't want my car covered in sap, I don't want tree blood on my hands! (Which I assume is also sap...)

This post has gone from sap removal to tree murder  :signLOL:

I just don't want my car covered in sap, I don't want tree blood on my hands! (Which I assume is also sap...)

I dont know of anything that is suitable for quickly cleaning the sap off that would be safe to use without a full wash, as you will also end up rubbing all the grit and dust thats settled out during the day and potentially scratch the car up.

I've never used it but rather than a full wash, would a quick bath in snow-foam rinse off help?  And as mentioned before a good layer of wax will at least stop the tree sap damaging the paint?  Any of the detailers got an opinion on weather the right concentration of snow-foam would eat away the tree sap?
