Interior smell
« on: April 27, 2010, 11:28:23 pm »
I got in my car the other day and it smelt terrible! Couldn't reason why, then noticed the rear passanger mat and carpet is damp and stinks of piss! Think a cat has pee'd in it when I left the doors open when cleaning the other day :fighting: :fighting:

I can't get rid of the smell! Help please ?!

Don't buy any liquid airfresheners to keep in the car. The liquid can seep out and cause damage/discolouration to the trim.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

.........same here & then place some normal bbq charcoal into a foil takeaway dish & put that in the footwell & that will draw out the left over stink.  :happy2:

I have read somewhere that you should use washing detergent but they will either confirm that or sell you something.

I will ignore your other interpretation.  :fighting:
