Carbon dipping?

Hi guys
the guy doing my facelift has told me the guy wrapping my badges is poss going to dip them??!
This is a new technique that's like dipping in ink but gives a perfect finish.
Any of you's heard of it before??
He seems genuinely excited if it comes off so I'll keep u posted (with pics of course)
