so would you buy it if vw made it 50k then ? as its not about price its still a GOLF

Your missing the point Mat, some people actually want to discuss the car but after 3 posts the same people just turn the thread into a price thing, so no one actually gets to talk about the actual lump of metal.  :happy2:

Surely you are missing the point - everyone has a different opinion, and these threads are here for discussing them, are they not.

I know what you are saying and you are correct about it getting on to the price of it    i think thats just what it boils down to for people £££££ pure and simple as we all know people buy stupid expensive cars that are crap and clearly not worth the asking price. It just one of those cars that lots of people dont get the price of

some people don't mind paying for the VW / Golf body rather than the 4 rings and having to be classed as all the other drivers who own an Audi.

Audi drivers are fast getting the rep that BMW drivers once had.

theres not much to discuss about the golf R anyhow.

Redressed audi s3, with a higher price tag, and soon to be replaced by the mk7 golf.

Nothing new to see here, only talking point is its absurd price.

The new Leon Cupra R threads all ended up the same way these golf R threads, as we arent getting anything new, yet VAG want to charge a ridicoulos price for it.

i reckon these cars are a purely a result of ford and renault releasing new hot models, and VAg thought they were missing out on the action.

so when i s this Mk7 chassis due out then??

Yeah agreed but its the same people with the same opinion in every thread..  :indifferent: I agree its stupidly expensive but I like it and if I had more money than sense I'd buy it in a flash :happy2:
