Truckies Edition30 detail with light correction
« on: May 03, 2010, 05:35:26 pm »
Heres a detail that i done for Craig last thursday, the car when i turned up........... i'll apologise now for thae lack of pictures during the polishing stage as i was on a tight schedule as i was working at half 5 and it was a good 45min drive from where the car was being done  :sad1: ....................

So first up was the wheels, these were done with bilberry 4:1, EZ detail brush and a swissvax detail brush, also removed a few tar spots with some Tardis.....
The car was then foamed with Megs shampoo plus and left to dwel while i went round the window seals etc with a soft brush

This was the power rinsed off and then the car was washed 2BM with a sonus mitt, it was then rinsed again and the car was clayed with CYC yellow fine and megs ast touch as a lubricant, very ittle pick up aprt from the lower half of the door and the skirts.

Car was then moved inside and dried off with a selection of towels using megs last touch as a drying aid.

it was then out with some lighting to see what was needing corrected

nothing really to see in the above picture you had to be fairy close to see the light swirling but a few RDS were going to be left behind. Car was masked up after this.

So it was on to the polishing stage via the milauwakee and a white hex logic for the front wing due to some deeper swirls, the rest of the car was done with a 3M yellow polishing pad and megs #83 and Menz final finish.

This left this behind

Once the whole car was done i applied a coat of jetseal 109 and left too cure while i dressed the tyres and engine bay.

Jetseal was then buffed off using eurow deep pile towels and Victoria concours wax was applied after around 15min, while this was curing i polished the exterior glass with AG fast glss and polished the exhast pipes with belgom alu and 00 grade wire wool.

Wax was the removed and topped off with a final spray with Zaino Z-8

i love this product!!

now outside for a few quick snaps before making the quick dash to work in a diesel mini cooper, my girlfriends car!

sorry for the lack of final pictures also  :ashamed:

all comments welcome  :happy2:

Its going to get confusing in this section Craig, once you start detailing your own steed as well.  :signLOL:
