I have the chance to get a 56 Plate Mk 5 GTi at an amazing price.

56 Plate with only 12,000 genuine miles, 1 owner from new.
Monza II alloys.

Only thing its manual and doesnt come with Xenons.

Are Xenons easy to come acorss and fit?

Has it already got washers at the front as you will need to fit these along with the new xenon head lights and ballast etc etc..

Just out of interest, how much is it for sale for?

Also, milage that low isnt always a good thing on a 4 year old car. maybe lots of short stop-start journeys? this can mean a worn clutch and even worn turbo bearings due to the lack of time taken to warm up the car and allow it to cool down properly.

12k miles is 3k a year or just 57 miles a week on average.  (a turbo blew on my first mk5 at just 13k miles due to being used for short journeys for 3 years of its life, we get a lot in the workshop with problems at very low milage but a few years old.

It does sound too good to be true, accident repaired? Xenons do come up on ebay, one on right for £450.

That's worth more like 13-14k.

If its not dodgy, buy it and sell it for a huge profit, although ive learnt if something is too good to be true it almost certainly is, so thinking it's suspicious like everyone else.

Or... it's just a bargain. Check the VIN, the registration mark and run an HPI check if youre worried.

Retro fitting Xenons is possible but isn't cheap (depending on how blasé you are about the law...)

Retro fitting xenons is the easy bit but finding them isn't! Once you get a set they are simple to change over. (Mine cost £320 all in, don't have levellers)

I'd also thoroughly check it's not a cloned car, ie a newer car on an older plate

to good to be true isn't always the case though, I just sold the father in laws mini, he did about 20 miles a month in it from new and is now in a home, I found it hard to sell fast - it was to good to be true as I was asking £3k less than it was worth for a quick sale

It may be a straight car and geniune i only do 2 miles a day my gttdi on a 54 plate has only 40000 miles on the clock,might just you have found a gem of a car
