Ive also found my PS3's to be poorer than I expectd these last few months in the sh*te weather. (Having been very impressed in the 1st couple of months on the car)

What psi is everyone running?

I'm running 34 PSI all round, no issues and very happy with the results

Found the PS3's to be a good tyre  but wear far too quickly for my liking!

i googled the pilot sport 3, and if you ignore the tyre group tests, and instead read the forum reviews from peoples experiences,  lots mention very poor wear

Mine have done nearly 12k miles and they still have just under 5mm left on them at the front and 6mm at the rear so not doing too bad :happy2:

That sounds about right...I have always got over 15K from my michies...and I have been through at least 4 separate sets across various cars.

it also seems at odds with the treadwear value changing, the PS3 is a harder compound tyre

With PS3s all round, I run 44psi front, 35psi rear.

Final report in the end is that I was dispointed in the PS3s - wet weather performance being quite poor, worse than the PS2.  The PS3 is still a good tyre, and doesn't have any 'nasty' traits - but I personally feel they are a small step backwards from the PS2.

So I bit the bullet and went for something different - Conti Sport Contact 5P . . . . . OH DEAR - what a mistake.  Best I start another thread.

It's a shame that they named them the 'PS3' as they were never meant as the proper replacement for the 'PS2'!

Exactly they were Exalto replacements which were standard fit on my Ed30.  :happy2:
