I am in contact with a small tuning company who can supply the new RS6 V10 front brake set up at £1800 delivered that is a
390mm x 36mm disc with a SIX pot Brembo caliper, will need s small 4mm spacer included to space out the disc to center on the caliper, just bolt on better braking anyone interested, not a group buy just a very good deal

No money in it for me just passing on the info as I am replacing the ALCONS with these

Huh, do you mean you are taking off the standard OEM steel brakes, and fitting the Alcon ceramics?

Also, don't forget to advise that 19" alloys will be needed for 390mm discs!

No I removed the steel brakes last year and replaced the with six pot Alcons which are shaking the car every time
I brake and they will fit behind the wheels as I have 19" Sportecs which are designed for big brakes and I should have
mentioned that you will need 19" wheels but with the general knowledge on here people would know that anyway

had problems with my old alcons shaking...I had them skimmed whick solved the problem..They shook from new  :stupid:

If its better brakes you want on the V10 RS6, then ceramics must be the obvious choice.  For what its worth, when I spent a day spanking testing the new RS6 Avant, I thought the standard steel brakes with the Brembo calipers to be woefully inadequate - to the point of them catching fire!  :rolleye:

Re the 19" comment - yes, agree that most peeps should know, but it can be slightly foolhardy to assume that everyone would know.  :wink:

Perhaps this will make it clearer I have a MK II TTR 3.2V6 which I took off the stock brakes and replaced them with the Alcons
I am now replacing them with the RS6 V10 brakes.

So NO to ceramics ans steel OEM brakes

I take it this is an aesthetic upgrade, why would you need the brakes from a 2 tonne + car?

Have you considered the piston sizes and the the fact that the TT Master cylinder is roughly 20% less capable than a RS6 one?

You done the maths?
