Who is going to admit that they watch "The New Melrose Place" on TV Fiver?

I do. I came across it by chance and initially dismissed it, apart from the hot girlies, but loved the script. One of the characters, Ella, in particular has great lines. Now I am drawn in and enjoy it even if parts are far fetched. That California lifestyle the series portrays isn't all that far fetched though - It's just dramatised.

I also admit to regularly watching "Neighbours" and "Waterloo Road" but have never been attracted to watch "Eastenders" or "Coronation Street" which are so lacking in style, imo.

What do you watch on TV which you think others would look down their noses at?

I barely have time to watch TV. When I do, it's either the news/simpsons/friends/scrubs/qi/top gear. Apart from the news, the rest are repeats and they're usually on when I've just got home frome work or about to head in.

....I cherry-pick [get it!?] what I watch on TV too, and often there's nothing in an evening.

"Melrose Place" is apparently aimed at mostly women. I can see all the high fashion displayed and romance of the relationships jazz, but I still enjoy it.

I hate soaps as a rule, Corry/Eastenders. In particular US soaps, I just can't stand the kind of whiney valley Yanks you get in that/The OC/90210 etc. but I do have a thing for Antipodean stuff, for pretty much the same reasons as you, Robin.

I don't watch much TV really. Car stuff, comedy, cooking and documentaries. So Dave, BBC and C4 (plus associated channels).

Can't stand soaps & the wife is the same.  :evilgrin: I do like some American cop shows tho like Criminal minds most of the csi spin off's & Law & order special victims unit.
Watched all of the first series of Couger town bank holiday monday & thats ok. Courtney cox is still fit. :rolleye:

Doesn't Friends still hold the Guinness World Record for the highest number of erect nipples per episode in the sitcom genre?

Aniston's are superb, but only in the latter days once she'd sorted that dead dog of a hairdoo out to make me appreciate her.

For me, aniston was most attractive at the beginning, and courtney cox was stunning after she got married in the show.
