COD MW2 Stimulus Package
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:11:46 am »
The new Stimulus package is now available to download for £10.99

Has anyone else downloaded it? If so whats it like?
I understand there are a few new maps available one of which being Overgrown from COD4 but apparently the maps arent available on Team Deathmatch yet just all the other game modes.

I downloaded it myself last night but after my PS3 decided it would take the best part of 3 hours to download i couldnt be arsed to play then :signLOL: But i will be back online tomorrow evening if anyones up for a game.

Also DelBoy whats up fella you aint been online for a few days i take it the missus has killed you by now :fighting:

They've been available on the Xbox for a few weeks now and I think they are pretty good.

The 2 from COD4 are Overgrown and Crash neither of which were my personal favourites.

They are available to play on their own or in normal gameplay. :happy2:

Newey - So what exactly happens to access the map's do you sit in a lobby for example for Team Deathmatch then the game selects say storm then when you get into the game it will switch to capture the flag?

Hedge - What you on mate PS3 or X-Box?

in the game options where you select say team death match, free for all etc there is an option there called Stimulus you go into that and it picks a game at random. so one game you might have free for all the next you could have head quarters etc etc.

They have been on Xbox for about a month. They only came out on PS3 on 5th may, after midday which is when I downloaded them.

The frustrating thing with the maps are that you are lobbed in with a bunch of people who are at prestige a million and so by the time you squeeze the trigger, they've already unloaded their clip at you. Another frustruting thing appears to be that you cannot control what type of game you play. Just a random game in a new map with prestige 10 players. They also appear harder - lots of more open areas and I'm still trying to find places to hide/recover.

The really crap thing is I won't be back on my PS3 until monday so I'm missing out on double XP points for the remainder of this weekend.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I can't stand playing COD etc as i just pick faults with it.

I much prefer Assassins Creed.

I used to Play Counter Strike a bit but i would always get wasted by some 6 year old kid in Taiwan or something because the games dont give much room for real tactics.

Speaking of which Steam is getting released for Mac's on 12th May so think i will have to get Half Life on the go again.

I think it's really good on xbox, not downloaded the stimulus package. I want to chose where I play though, some of the places like Rust are just sh*te. You can't chose the game mode on PS3? That's pretty lame (but then you don't pay to play).

I refuse to get it. I think its pi$$ poor that sony decided to up the charge of COD MW2 to £50, meaning online was £40 instead of the normal £30 which I always used to pay, and then they ask for MORE money jsut to play a bit more of a game, 2 of which are just old maps.

I'm not fussed. Bought the game for £32 from Play on launch date. Then got a PSN £20 voucher for £5 through various discounts from very.co.uk so saved a fair whack compared to those who went to the likes of GAME and paid £50.
