Any electrical geniuses on here?
« on: May 09, 2010, 07:51:01 pm »
I have been completing an assignment all day, I have got to the last section and I cannot find any information on it! It is really starting to annoy me and I am about to throw the computer out the window! So I thought I would turn to the faithful forum in hope there is an electrical based person on here!
Basically I need to explain the quality assurance methods used in modern industrial processes, when making a high number of eletrical circuits.
Could any electrical or non (im not fussed at this point ) give me some pointers on specifics?
I understand that it is not reasonable to fully test each circuit when produced and that is the need for quality assurance but I cannot find any specific methods.

Help!
Ollie

Random batch sampling for starters.

Based on the number you manufacture you have an amount that you select to sample.
Your samples are then chosen at random from the total amount.

You should be able to find information about it on the web.

I remember doing this while getting my EEE degree. Random sampling, bathtub curves, Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF)... all various parts of statistical analysis.
