i have searched and im still confused lol

what is the best way to find out if you need the control module and the cruise wire?

i have a 55plate 06 model with no mfsw or highline but have retro fitted rns510 with no problems.

any help as to finding out is much appreciated

There are some part numbers which are known to be working with CC.

55 plate would be on the cusp of a change but if yours is a 2006 you should be ok for the wire.

If I were you I'd fit it and see how you get on, I think most GTi's are ok.

i did a search but couldnt find one either,

there is one on vortex but the link doesnt work atm none of them do for myself just goes to an unspecified link page.

got the chance for a stalk at £30, if it doesnt need the wire etc after fitting will it just need coding? whats the going rate?

check the VCDS register run by VRSTU and see if there is someone local to you, then offer them a beer  :party:

picked up my cruise stalk last night, got some one to code it for me, now just need to find out how to fit it.

Are there any guides or what did people use to fit there own???

That's for sure not the way to get the control module off!!  Follow his advice from the Bentley and use the correct tools, it's actually quite easy.

i only need to change the stalk thats all hopefully so i should be ok following the guide??

the wheels coming off then yeah??
