Brake light Decals

What are peoples thoughts on them?

no pix as i havent made any, but basically a section of vinyl with wording cut out thats laid over the 3rd brake light, when the brakes are applied the wording lights up/shines through

i'm indifferent, just want some opinions

seen a few of these on cars like back off   or car make on them and they look ok i think but would i stick one on my car mmmm not sure

IMHO I think they look a little tacky. I have seen a few on focus, corsa and saxo owned by kids of my age and they do look a little chav. All my opinion of corse.

I would assume so as some cars do not have 3rd brake lights.

....But those cars manufactured without the 3rd red-eye brake light are exempt. So, it's not unreasonable for the police to stop you with a 3rd light that's been 'interefered' with - A bit unlikely perhaps but if stopped for something else..

Dunno what I think of the idea. Seen one and thought it was clever but couldn't read what it said and I'm not in the habit of tailgating people. Consequently I wouldn't want some driver trying to climb into my boot so they could read it.. So, I wouldn't have one for safety reasons.

IMO it's just too subtle to be effective. That's if it's text. If it's a pattern, like maybe military stripes that are large enough to show easily, it may work!

But then when it visually works by shouting louder it will be likely to attract the attention of the law. And what about MOT? They're getting much stricter.

BUT I'd be worried some tw*t would be too busy trying to read it , just as they ploughed into the back of me...
