All this is something of a surprise to me because, so far, I'm not experiencing any of the problems being described here.

Please post here any links to all these other discussions elsewhere about such problems. Then I can construct a more coherent and cohesive report to the appropriate people at Goodyear Dunlop and hopefully post some answers or advise what to do or who to contact.

You misunderstand Robin. The point is that they contact Dunlop and advise them of their problem. I didn't necessarily mean for you to give out your contacts details but either way Dunlop should be contacted and brought up to speed.

If I were Dunlop I would be asking myself why discerning customers are not fitting Sport Max once the factory fitted tyres are gone.

....Agreed. Sorry for any misunderstanding - I read it wrong.

As GYD is such a big company, let me sort out who to contact there and then post here - I think it will get better results and be more helpful to all concerned.

Hi.Mine had same problem when i bought it.Replaced Dunlops with goodyear asmetrico.Problem solved! :smiley:

I must admit the .:R has Dunlop Sport Max on and the first thing that you notice is the tyre noise.
I say tyre noise but the Milltek and EVOMS have masked it to a certain degree.  :evilgrin:

Toyo R888's on Hurdy's car - Now THAT'S tyre noise! Sounds like an army lorry, and I love it!

But, I agree, road tyres made for the normal market are supposed to be quiet.

OK update - had the tyres changed today and the difference is amazing!!! Lesson learned, I will never use Dunlops again!!! utter rubbish!!!!

Your car has alot more road noise going on with different mods to standard.
So yes you properly wont be hearing what us semi Standard guys are  :happy2:

I then booked the car in with the local specialists to have Eibach springs, Miltek tbe and some stereo equipment fitted

Who do you use? Gareth @ Euro Performance?

Sound great on track, but on a motorway they could get a little on my nerves.

I'm pleased to report that the R1R's are virtually silent though :jumpmove: :star:
