I purchased my ed30 about 6 weeks ago and so far I love it. However, i was a little concerned on the road noise and it was becoming more annoying. So on a mad afternoon I visited the local tyre place and got the front tyres replaced. They were Falken FK452's replaced with Dunlop Sportmaxx (they were already on the rear) 100yds down the road and argh tyre noise still there.
I spoke to a couple of friends who said it could be a wheel bearing, which I though was strange as the car has only done 18k. I then booked the car in with the local specialists to have Eibach springs, Miltek tbe and some stereo equipment fitted. They also test drove the car and said that they thought it could be a bearing but not 100% as it was not showing some of the usual signs of wear. With this in mind I booked it into the dealers for them to have a look under warranty.
Well today I took it to the dealers and to my shock
:confused:its the back tyres. The tyres have gone out of shape, flat in some areas!!! I have never come across this before in all my 20 years of motoring.
So couple of questions
1. Anyone else had experience of this??
2. Should I replace the 2 rear tyres with dunlop sportmaxx or
3. Put the Falkens back on and replace the front with 2 new falkens??
4. If I do replace the 2 brand new less than 500 mile dunlops, anyone wanna buy them
