I say this to those who think he had any ability what do you base your opinion on outside of gut feel / being Labour at heart?
I ain't Labour, and I ain't never will be.
I say he did relatively well because despite having
no manufacturing or industrial base, and a monumental debt, and crazy property boom that crashed, somehow the UK
still managed to claw its way out of the recession, and avoid a Greece/Ireland/Spain type situation. Those countries are fooked.
I do hope that the Tory/Lib coalition works well. I don't agree with much of what the Tories or the Dems are saying (despite voting Lib Dem) but it seems that for the most part they have cancelled out each other's stupidity. Certainly the early indications are promising, and there are some decent decisions on Cabinet posts. Michael Gove was
not made Home Secretary, which is a good thing. Vince Cable could be in quite a good position. So it's promising.
