seat bolster wear

took the GTI to the dealers today so their warranty manager good look at the front seats and send some happy snaps to VW, 4 months and 4,500 miles in the leather isn't looking to good, i was expecting the alcantara to wear

in fairness dealer has been great and we had a look at the bolsters on an Edition 30 with 10k on the clock, curious whether any of you guys have had any problems




on the plus side got to give the GTI a good run for once and enjoyed playing with it on some quiet roads  :innocent:

I was looking at a 07 ED30 at the dealers on Thursday and the bolster was in the same shape as yours. I have had two seat backs relplaced due to wear.

The drivers bolster on my ED30 has exactly the same type of wear after 6K, my old A3 had the same wear but it never got any worse tbh even after 40K
Pretty poor though imo..

same happened on my cloth ones, the crease appears very quickly, but never gets any worse, tbh, its hard to see how this can be avoided

Mine are starting to show a bit of wear. But it depends on how big you rear is
