Always been a bit anal about tyre pressure with previous cars. Checking every time I fill up. 
 

You should never use the garage pressure gauges they are wildly in accurate.  :smiley:

....My local digital ones are only 1 psi out when compared with my onboard TyreSure monitor.

how do you go about fitting one of those? Do they have a remote sensor per wheel?

Yes, each wheel has a pressure sensor built into the valve.

Having seen the one in Robin's car the other day I think I want to get one of them doohickeys. Should've been standard fitment on the GTI instead of the crappy ABS sensors.
