Looks good... but you could buy a mk1 golf track car for that money, and actually drive it  :P

Very true, but it's the on cost that frighten me with a track car as I'm not handy with a spanner at all. I did have go at karting and spent more then £3k in the the first 8 months. Plus it's the time and with working and the family it's just not possible, hence why I got this!!!!!

If anyone is ever in the area more than welcome to stop off for a coffee and a go!!!

Got a good deal on this from Tesco Direct. It's been superceded by the G3 but it's still a good bit of kit. They have it down to  £380 from £550 last year with a further £10 off using an online voucher code. I got it for £311 using some loyalty coupons I had and also got 700 more points on my clubcard so quite a happy bunny. Panasonic are also doing a software package free with it which includes Adobe Lightroom 3 so I'll be playing with that too. My last interchangeable lens camera was an Olympus OM 1 which I absolutely loved but some b4stard broke into my car in France and stole it along with all my WW1 War Graves pics and I never really bothered with a decent camera until getting on this forum (more money spent as warned by many forumites!)

Regards,

John

Did you buy it from the Steve? I have heard some non-complimentary things about Simply Electronics.

Good luck.  :scared:

Ordinarily I'd agree but I bought my G12 from them because: they had it in stock, it was the cheapest with delivery added from other online stores and they matched their online price. Otherwise I'd have walked.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Buying from simplyelectronics can be problematic MR Saint, I bought a lens off them and had to wait a very long time for delivery, some people have lost thousands through them. not saying it's the case all the time but i would not be handing them my cash again anytime soon. Try a google search on them.  :happy2:
