Think I've got circa 9 torches too

4 AA Maglite's
C cell Maglite
2 Peli head lamps
Surefire 6P LED
Cheapo RS Components 3watt LED pocket torch

All dotted around my toolboxes (both at home and work) and in the car

Keep meaning to try the led conversion for the maglight

I have an LED converted 3D Mag-Lite. It's no brighter really, but the output is much whiter and the batteries last a little longer. This one:

Will give it a try, carrying less batteries on exercise = Win

I must be missing something here too.... I don't get the torch fetish thing at all.

We all have our fetishes. Mine just happens to be Torches and Knives

A good torch is like a good camera and you need certain torches for certain tasks. I'd look a bit daft with a Mini Maglight on my rifle and rather than blind someone momentarily it would just about illuminate their face so I can see the smile on it as they pump lead into me. On the flip side I would struggle to read a map covertly using an 800 lumen torch. Hence I have a red Innova Microlight to map read with.

Horses for Courses really.

Just bought some sennheiser cx300ii to replace my 13 year old sony in ears.  Sound very clear, not sure if they sound a fraction 'effected' though. Will have to compare them.

Also aquired a very nice omega seamaster planet ocean.  :notworthy:
Very nice timepiece, I have a Chrono, took a while to get used to as its soooo heavy, now I never go anywhere without it! :happy2:
We need pics BTW! :happy2:

Yeah they are heavy but they are awesome. Still trying to get my head around the fact its 100% mechanical.  :stupid:

I think the strap needs adjusting slightly, bit too tight I think.
