He doesn't go fast enough to warrant bigger brakes!   :P

Fuel pump Steve :happy2:

I'm abit bemused that's all mark, We did some data logging on her car on tuesday. She has no plans for stage 2+ but seems abit of an excessive purchase when the car is performing spot on, with no running/timing or fuelling issues causing an actual running fault.
Her Revo stage 2 map is requesting 129.99 and the stock fuel pump is only delivering 115 at best.
If this is a requirement of a stage 2 from Revo, it makes Revo a very expensive way of going stage 2

seems abit of a rip off that Revo write their maps in this way, when my Bluefin car with same mods ( except brakes  :congrats:) requests 109.99, and performs the same on the road as her Revo car. Also boost levels are nearly the same comparing both maps that I've logged,so just abit surprised she is wanting to spend such a large ammount on such a small gain in the real world.
......this is of course you may of had a change of heart since I saw you Tuesday ..  :signLOL:

You mean need bigger brakes? A stage 1, 2 whatever car will get to 70mph quicker driven on the road, but that doesn't mean it'll stop slower, does it? I had all this crap on an Astra forum when I owned one. Had my car remapped and everyone said 'ooh, you'll be needing bigger brakes now'. Err, no I won't. My car's no heavier and will be driven at the same speeds as it was before the remap...

That was a deliberate wind-up and nothing more.  :stupid:

I know that. A rather tedious one, too. When are people gonna give it a rest? Not sure how many times Steve has to state he's f***ed off with it before everyone takes the hint, or does it require others like me to point it out?

A sustained fuel cut from 2.6krpm to 6k rpm, starting at about 6bar and rising to almost 40bar difference when you should never have more than 5bar difference max, isn't something i would want to run around with!

I agree that the REVO map requests too much fuel at Stage 2. But she can either upgrade the pump, go back to stage 1, turn the boost right down or change maps.

Surely why dont revo run at 119.99.Why cant Revo adjust the remap? Or is it "theres nothing wrong with a revo map, it must be your car " answers that Revo had out?  :chicken:

The OEM pump can't flow more than 115bar sustained and you answered your own question. :happy2:

When Mandy spoke to them they told her the OEM pump can flow 120-130bar no problem

If they had said that to me i'd have asked why they recommend a pump for Stage 2+ then as it requests the same fueling :stupid:

Your map may request a different fuel load if it's over 3yrs (unless you have had it updated). You also may not have the same level of fuel cut.

But as i said i wouldn't wan't the car to be requesting 129.99bar and only giving 90bar and continue driving it like that
