So having been offered a new job with a significant increase in salary i decided to treat myself and buy some camera porn and ended up buying a Canon 17-40mm f/4 L Series. Bought from my local jessops who price matched Amazon (after some persuasion) and with £45 cash back under the current promotion run by Canon the lens was a steal at £545.

Just uploaded a photo taken on the only clear day during our trip to Fuerteventura. I have she'd loads more to tweak and upload but the free wifi in the hotel is horrendous so I'll not bother looking at the rest until next week.

....The F1 v1's were great in the wet too - Surprisingly so even in torrential rain. Truly a great all year round tyre (except for snow of course).
