Visionary HD, 8x42, 8.2º - Steady and lightweight. Bright optics with very natural colour - Ideal for my wildlife watching without spending a fortune on higher spec. Better than ultra compacts in my opinion. I use binoculars more than once every single day - They live on my kitchen window sill overlooking my garden and countryside.

The one that's waiting there, watching!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

5x2TB HDDs for my NAS....... :happy2:

raid 5?

Im going for Synology Hybrid RAID.
Basically its RAID 5 - so 1 disk redundancy - but if I upgrade 1 of the discs in the future it can make use of the extra space straight away, rather then having to upgrade all 5 disks to use the extra space.
Was just going to go with 3TB disks to start with - but it was costing far too much. 5x2TB will give me around 7.5GB of useable space - which will keep me going for years!

This is my NAS -

Want to use the iTunes server and put all my movies on it for now, so I can stream to my PS3. Then I'll set up an IP camera at some point over the driveway and get the video saved straight to the NAS. Oh and download torrents straight to the NAS without my computer having to be on at all!

i just upgraded to http://www.qnap.com/pro_detail_feature.asp?p_id=183

just waiting on delivery of my drives :D

Haha

Its for the brake calipers - they are 15mm and my ratchet spanner has a head too wide to fit on it
