I love the chunky solid feel of it, as well as the fact that a lot of settings are on dials rather than fiddly menus. Hope it's as well built as my Traser!  :grin:

I'd say it's as big as the old 35mm compact cameras you used to be able to buy. Too big for a jeans pocket but will easily fit in a jacket pocket.

I want to get back into photography, but didn't want the expense and outlay of a dSLR which is why I went for the G12. I've got a week off so will spend some time learning to use the camera. I will have to check what my laptop is capable of these days - it's about six years old but happily runs PSP9 and whatever version of Photoshop was around then. Think PSP9 had limited RAW support but will have to look it up.
