Very handy! I've read about dozens of Milltek failures and their aftersales service leaves something to be desired it would seem...

Agreed. If an aftermarket part is more susceptible to failure that the OEM equivalent, one has to ask ones self whether thats a smart purchase or not.

The revised version has he replaceable bracket. As they've realized there's a design flaw it's a shame they don't replace them as a.goodwill gesture or at least at reduced cost.

And one of these:

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

It's for taking the tops off paint touch ups. It takes a steady hand to use one but they're good if you can use it and not scratch the paint.

Here's the production line version of it which was used in the paint shop Check & Repair area at Nissan, my first job there. As said, it needs a steady hand, even more so when the car body is constantly moving a car length every minute or less. In skilled hands it can be part of an arsenal of tools to turn a "dog" into a Paris/Geneva motorshow car- believe me, I've done it plenty!
In essence it's just a flat chisel made of tool steel but the angles it's ground at and the angle of attack are critical to doing a quick repair or consigning a car to a much more prolonged spot repair.
This one has been totally abused since I left Nissan, I wouldn't put it anywhere near a body now!

Regards,
John

I just hate impulse buys:

I just bought a Cupra 1P engine and 6speed gearbox including APR HPFP, S3 IC, Forge DV and stage 3 ECU with 54.000km on the clock.
I wonder what will get done in December while i'm in Thailand???   :driver:

My own is the AXX engine, getting the Cupra block gives a bit more headroom tuningswise, and mine has done 224.000km so far, getting a 54.000km engine is better IMO.
as i said, i hate impulse buys
