No, I've got one already. I was just getting tired of my wife nabbing it for her commute to Manchester so I bought her a 3G one

Getting rather frustrated at the wait for a new iPhone though. I don't understand why, when they release a new product, they don't build enough to satisfy initial demand. If Apple products weren't so ingrained in my life I'd have probably gone elsewhere.

....Apple very consciously, as do many other companies nowadays, try to be as efficient as possible and not risk over stocking products. Most Apple products are built primarily to demand and there is always only a limited stock on the shelf - The minimum they think they can get away with. There is an element of risk that a customer might go elsewhere but most of us born in Macdom are loyal to the brand because we like what they produce. I didn't even stop to consider any other tablet - In fact until recently I didn't know anyone else made them. Same with any other product which Apple produce - For me it's a no-brainer.

Mike, babies/children aren't always expensive. Too many parents buy stuff which simply isn't needed. Especially on a first born.

....If you feel like that, don't wait until you think you can afford it or it'll never happen. It isn't about the money.

I didn't particularly want kids and wasn't a dad until I was 44yo and I have no regrets - In fact, quite the contrary. My (ex) wife was much younger than me - A tradition in my family.

Yeah I know, but it's going to be hard not to spoil her. That said, neither of us were spoilt and are very grounded, so it should follow suit.

She does however need a kart, I'll make a racing driver out of her if it bankrupts me!!
