Been after a decent charcoal BBQ for ages so finally got round to ordering one of these Weber BBQ's. Hope the weather stays like this now!!

cant go wrong with these! welcome to the world of indirect heat bbqing  :party:  get down the butchers for a shoulder of pork and then slow cook for 4-5hrs  :drool:

You just can't beat a Weber, definitely the best way to barbecue. Make sure you use the silver trays, and half fill them with water. Not only do they keep the inside of your BBQ clean but they add moistness to your food. The wood chips are a great way of adding flavour to your food too.

Cheers fellas. Yes, that's the reason I bought this type of BBQ. Am a chef in the real world and really don't do ANY indirect cooking, mainly due to time constraints. Going for a whole roast chicken in it this weekend and see what the difference is from direct heat.

I did a rib of beef with mesquite chips on the coals. It was bloody amazing.

I use to have that weber charcoal bbq It was good - get yourself one of the Weber Chimney starters, it makes lighting it real easy :pomppomp:

I switched to a weber gas bbq 7 years ago and you can't beat it for convenience, the flavour is great and sooooooooo much control & cooking in 5 mins

I think quite a few people use them as daily drivers as well as holiday trucks and the insurance is silly low for a £50k motor.

Defo get the chimney starter, makes it so much easier to light.
